Great news!!! If you want to find out what happened at BCB Promotions’ massive ‘Now or Never’ boxing event at Genting Arena, it’s available to view online.
To date the video has amassed over 53k views and inspired almost 450 shares, which is a simply phenomenal achievement.
Although the video, a free live stream commissioned by BCB and produced by the Journalism Team based at the University of Northampton, doesn’t include the full fight card, what it does include is more than enough to quench the thirst of any fight fan and Midlands boxing enthusiasts.
In case you haven’t seen it yet and don’t know any of the results, we won’t offer any spoilers – But here’s a glimpse of the action and a taster of what is a must watch video production.
First up…
Bout No 1
Moussab Abubaker vs. Paul Cummings.

This non-title fight, fought over 4 rounds was an intriguing test for both fighters. Could the popular Abubaker grab his 2nd pro win in as many fights or would the less fancied but highly entertaining Cummings, get back to winning ways after a run of 8 straight defeats?

Bout No 2
Tommy Ghent vs. Arvydas Trizno

Tommy ‘Gladiator’ Ghent is from Coseley and fights at super welterweight. His pro career started in 2011 and despite a 4 year absence from the ring (2013-17) Tommy comes into the fight holding a 7 fight unbeaten run including the two points wins he’s notched up since his return to the ring in 2017.
Trizno, the Lithuanian fighter may not have been bringing an awesome win record into the fight but he was bringing a wealth of experience with no less than 104 fights on his CV.
Can Ghent maintain his impressive win record and grab his eighth straight pro win in the process?
Bout No 3
Kelcie Ball vs. Jordan Grannum

Kelcie ‘Cannon’ Ball was out to advance on his eight fight winning streak. He was up against London based Jordan Grannum – aka ‘The Brown Eagle.’

No spoilers. Remember?
Watch the video for full coverage.
Next up. And now we’re talking Title Fights.
Bout No 4
Kash Ali vs. David Howe
(Vacant) BBBofC Central Area Heavyweight Title
With the Central Area Heavyweight Champion Title up for grabs the big question was, could Birmingham’s Kash Ali return to the ring after an 18 month layoff to defeat Sheffield’s big hitting giant, David Howe?

Bout No 5
Jordan Turner vs. Kyle Williams
(Vacant) BBBofC Midlands Area Bantamweight Title

BCB’s Dan Mole saw it like this;
“For me it’s Kyle Williams all day long. The first rung on the ladder for him. He’s an ex-World Champion at Kick Boxing and pushing on as a pro boxer and I think this one’s not a gimme but I can’t see anything other than Kyle Williams – but on points.”
No question Dan knows his boxing but was he about to be proved correct?
Bout No 6
Andrew Robinson vs. Nicky Jenman
(Vacant) International Boxing Organisation Continental Middleweight Title

An extremely tough one to call! Both came into the fight with very impressive, eye-catching records and neither would want to walk away without the prestigious IBO Continental Middleweight Title.

Robinson was perhaps the slight favourite but Jenman was not to be taken lightly. Who would prevail in this absolute clash of the titans?
last but not least…
Bout No 7
Craig Morris vs. Andy Keates
International Boxing Organisation Continental Welterweight Title

The IBO Continental Welterweight Title was on the line and none other than our own Refereeing Royalty, Birmingham’s Terry O’Connor, would be on hand to preside over the proceedings.

Could Leek’s formidable fighter Andrew Keates make a significant impression on the current Champion, Ludlow’s bright welterweight southpaw star, Craig Morris?

At the time of publishing the BCB crew were unavailable for comment but their formidable accomplishments on 24 Mar absolutely speaks for itself.
It was a great event which we at MBC hope to see repeated at some point in the near future – in fact – over and over again.
In the meantime, if you’d like to find out the answers to some, if not all of the questions posed above – dim the lights, press play, sit back and relax.
ps. the vid is around 3 hours of boxing action – it can take a little while to load. But in our experience it loads fine.
